About The Daily Thunder Bitcoin Lottery
How does the lottery work?
The Daily Thunder Bitcoin Lottery uses the Bitcoin blockchain as a source of provably fair randomness.
Each Bitcoin block hash is converted to a lucky 8-digit drawing number between 00000001 and 99999999.
This ensures that drawing results are completely transparent and cannot be manipulated.
The Conversion Process:
- A Bitcoin block hash is selected from the blockchain
- The hexadecimal hash is converted to its decimal (base 10) equivalent
- The modulo operation (% 99999999) is applied to get a value between 0 and 99999998
- 1 is added to get a value between 1 and 99999999
- Leading zeros are added if necessary to create an 8-digit number
Why use Bitcoin for the lottery?
Bitcoin block hashes are:
- Publicly verifiable by anyone
- Impossible to predict or manipulate
- Timestamped on the blockchain
- Secured by the world's largest computing network
This makes them perfect for creating a truly fair and transparent lottery system that anyone can audit.
